The Tarm Ruins is probally my favorite area in any Zelda game :} The music is really nice and mixed with the theme of area gives me a mysterious feeling. In this article i’ll talk about it a bit.
The Tarm Ruins is sealed when you first arive, you have to find four gems to break the seal. Once you break the seal you enter a land that seems no one has ever explored.
The path leads up the mountain, into a mysterious forest. The only living thing, besides monsters is a Deku shrub who enjoys singing.
Through the forest you find a shaded meadow, with two rows of stone soldiers who seem to be guarding the enterance. After that you climb a bit higher up the mountain, pass a long bridge and finally enter the Ancient Ruins, which seems to be a old abandoned castle.
Another interesting thing about Tarm Ruins is, the Deku Shrub, who i mentioned before tells you a secret about how to get to a powerful sword hidden in the woods.
I think the Tarm Ruins was once a ancient kingdom that isolated themselves from the rest of the world. They probally wanted their kingdom to stay the way it was forever.
